Getting started

How do I connect Gmail or Outlook?

Open Email Assistant, start the 7-day free trial (or confirm an active subscription), then tap Add Email and choose Gmail or Outlook. You will be taken to the provider's sign-in page to grant access. Tokens are stored locally on your device in the platform Keychain.

Why does the app request these scopes?

Gmail access uses gmail.readonly to show your inbox and prepare the context for a reply, and gmail.compose to save the generated draft back to the correct thread. Outlook access uses the equivalent Microsoft Graph scopes. Email Assistant does not auto-send messages.

Can I connect more than one account?

The AI Reply Essentials plan supports one connected mailbox. AI Reply Pro expands the limit to three mailboxes. Each mailbox has its own knowledge base, tone, and signature settings.

Troubleshooting

My mailbox won't connect or keeps asking me to sign in

Remove the mailbox from Email Assistant, then reconnect it. On Google, you can also review granted access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. On Microsoft, review at account.live.com/consent/Manage or the equivalent page for your work/school account.

Reply generation fails or times out

Check your internet connection and try again. If the issue persists, quit and relaunch the app, or reboot the device. If it still fails, email support@ai-lab.com.au with the mailbox provider (Gmail or Outlook), platform, app version, and the approximate time of the failure so we can check backend logs.

Drafts aren't appearing in my mailbox

Drafts are saved into the correct thread in your Gmail or Outlook Drafts folder. Make sure you are viewing the same mailbox you connected, and confirm the draft was saved rather than only previewed. Email Assistant never auto-sends messages.

Knowledge base upload failed

Manual uploads must be under 5 MB per file, and thread exports under 1 MB each. If a file is within those limits and still fails, try again on a stable connection. The per-mailbox document cap depends on your subscription tier.

Subscriptions and billing

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through Apple. Manage them in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad, or in the App Store → account menu → Subscriptions on Mac. You can also open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

How do refunds work?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you need context or supporting information for the request, email support@ai-lab.com.au.

I was charged but the app is still asking me to subscribe

Restore purchases from the app's subscription screen, sign out and back in to the App Store, or reboot the device. If the issue persists, email support@ai-lab.com.au with your Apple receipt so we can look into it.

Privacy and account removal

How do I disconnect a mailbox?

Open Email Assistant, go to mailbox settings, and remove the account. The local OAuth token and mailbox settings are deleted from the device. To fully revoke access, also remove the app from myaccount.google.com/permissions (for Gmail) or the equivalent Microsoft account page (for Outlook).

How do I delete my knowledge base?

In the knowledge base view for the mailbox, delete individual documents or clear the mailbox knowledge base entirely. Deleting the mailbox knowledge base removes the associated vector store content from our backend.

How do I request account or data deletion?

Email support@ai-lab.com.au from the email address associated with your connected mailbox and we will process the request. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.
