- Email Assistant does not automatically send emails on your behalf.
- You are responsible for the accounts you connect, the content you submit, and the messages you choose to send.
- Subscriptions, trials, billing, and renewals are handled through Apple.
- The service is provided on an as-is basis, subject to the disclaimers and liability limits in these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Email Assistant, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility and Authority
You may use Email Assistant only if you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms and to use the
connected services and mailbox accounts involved. If you use the app on behalf of an organization, you
represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
3. The Service
Email Assistant is a macOS application that can:
- connect Gmail and Outlook accounts that you choose to add;
- read inbox threads and message content needed to display and process threads;
- generate AI-assisted reply suggestions;
- let you edit and save drafts to the relevant mailbox thread;
- manage mailbox-specific knowledge documents to improve later draft suggestions;
- apply subscription-based feature limits.
4. Connected Accounts and Permissions
You are responsible for all mailbox accounts you connect to Email Assistant and for maintaining the
confidentiality of those accounts. You authorize the app to access the scopes and permissions needed to
provide its features, including reading email content, creating drafts, and related mailbox actions
supported by the connected provider.
You must connect only accounts you are authorized to access. You may disconnect accounts at any time,
but some data previously uploaded to backend services for knowledge-base features may remain until you
separately delete that knowledge base.
5. AI Features and Draft Output
Email Assistant can generate draft replies using backend services and AI models. AI-generated content may
be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, offensive, or otherwise unsuitable for your intended use.
- You must review all generated content before relying on it, saving it, or sending it.
- You are solely responsible for every email, draft, instruction, file, and other content submitted through the app.
- The app is designed to assist with drafting, not to provide legal, financial, medical, compliance, or other professional advice.
- Email Assistant does not guarantee any particular result, response quality, tone, accuracy, or fitness for purpose.
6. Auto-Generated Drafts
If you enable the relevant setting, Email Assistant may automatically generate and save drafts for new
emails while polling connected mailboxes. This feature does not send messages automatically, but it may
create draft content in your mailbox without additional confirmation for each draft.
7. Your Content
You retain responsibility for the emails, files, prompts, instructions, signatures, and other materials
you provide through the app. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to use that
content with Email Assistant and to allow the processing required to operate the service.
You must not use Email Assistant to process content or perform actions that violate law, third-party
rights, contractual obligations, confidentiality duties, or workplace policies.
8. Acceptable Use Restrictions
You agree not to:
- use the app to break the law or violate the rights of others;
- connect accounts, mailboxes, or data you are not authorized to access;
- use the service to distribute spam, malware, deceptive content, or abusive content;
- attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service, connected APIs, or related infrastructure;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the service except as allowed by applicable law;
- use the app in a way that breaches Google, Microsoft, Apple, OpenAI, or Firebase service rules that apply to your use.
9. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing
Certain features may require an active subscription or trial. Subscription products, billing, free trial
offers, renewal timing, cancellation mechanics, refund handling, and payment processing are presented and
processed through Apple under your App Store account and Apple’s applicable terms.
Feature limits, such as connected mailbox limits or knowledge-base document limits, may vary by
subscription tier and may change over time.
10. Third-Party Services
Email Assistant depends on third-party platforms and APIs, including Google, Microsoft, Firebase, OpenAI,
and Apple. Availability of the app may depend on those services remaining available and permitting the
required integrations.
Your use of connected services may also be subject to separate terms, policies, and permissions imposed by
those providers. Email Assistant is not responsible for third-party service outages, policy changes,
account suspensions, API changes, or decisions made by those providers.
11. Intellectual Property
Email Assistant, including its software, design, branding, and related materials, is protected by
intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the app under these Terms, no license or
ownership right is transferred to you.
12. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or other feedback about Email Assistant, the provider of Email
Assistant may use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.
13. Suspension and Termination
Access to Email Assistant may be suspended or terminated at any time, with or without notice, if needed
to protect the service, comply with legal obligations, respond to abuse, or address technical or security
issues. You may stop using the app at any time.
14. Disclaimers
Email Assistant is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law,
the provider of Email Assistant disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or
otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title,
non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the provider of Email Assistant will not be liable for any
indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data,
profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, email content, or account access arising out of or
related to your use of the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of the provider of Email Assistant for all
claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for the app or the
subscription during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50 if you paid
nothing, whichever is greater.
16. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the provider
of Email Assistant from and against claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising
from your use of the app, your content, your connected accounts, or your violation of these Terms or
applicable law.
17. Changes to the Service or Terms
Email Assistant and these Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after updated
Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
